Uhmw plastic sheet manufacturing process:
1.Molding, engineering plastic uhmwpe has excellent comprehensive properties in the solid state, but its melt characteristics are very different from ordinary polyethylene plastics, which brings difficulties to processing. Not affected by the relative molecular weight of uhmwpe, even the world’s relatively high molecular weight uhmwpe (up to 10 million) can be processed.
2.During blow molding and processing of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE), when the material is extruded from the die, there is a certain shrinkage due to elastic recovery, and almost no sagging occurs, so it is a hollow container. In particular, the blow molding of large containers, such as fuel tanks and vats, has created favorable conditions.
Uhmw plastic sheet blow molding can also lead to high-performance films with balanced strength in the vertical and horizontal directions, thereby solving the problem of HDPE film inconsistent strength in the vertical and horizontal directions for a long time, which easily causes longitudinal damage.
3.Extrusion molding Extrusion molding equipment mainly includes plunger extruder, single screw extruder and twin screw extruder. For twin-screw extrusion, co-rotating twin-screw extruders are mostly used.
