When cutting Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Sheet (UHMW-PE), consider its high toughness, high wear resistance and low coefficient of friction. It is not as easy to cut as ordinary plastics, but with the right tools and methods, it can be cut cleanly and accurately.

Fix the plate: use a clamp or vise to avoid sliding or shaking.
Control the speed:
Cutting too slowly will cause the plate to melt and stick to the saw teeth;
Cutting too fast will easily deviate or produce burrs.
Multiple shallow cuts are safer: especially for thick plates (>25mm), cutting in batches can prevent overheating.
Pay attention to thermal expansion: UHMW-PE has a high thermal expansion coefficient, and expansion joints need to be retained (especially for outdoor use).
Edge trimming: Use an electric grinder, file or sandpaper to trim burrs.
