How to obtain grain chutes through HDPE sheet processing?


Using HDPE (high-density polyethylene) sheets to process grain chutes (grain chute / grain slide) is a very common practice in the agricultural and grain processing industries, because HDPE has the advantages of wear resistance, low friction, corrosion resistance, and no adhesion to grains. The following is a detailed processing and manufacturing method:
I. Steps for processing grain chutes with HDPE sheets:

  1. Material selection suggestions
    Project Parameter suggestions
    Material type HDPE sheet (anti-UV/antistatic grade is recommended)
    Thickness range 6mm~20mm (depending on the length and load-bearing requirements of the chute)
    Surface treatment Smooth surface or slightly matte (to prevent grain retention)

  2. Design and processing process
    ➤ Step ①: Sheet cutting
    Use CNC cutting machine or sawing machine to cut out side panels, bottom panels and edge banding according to the chute drawing.
    The chute is usually a U-shaped or V-shaped structure, and the sheet needs to be cut and spliced at an angle.
    ➤ Step ②: Chamfering and drilling edges
    The edges are smoothed to prevent scratching of grains.
    Screw holes are reserved on the side panels and bottom panels for riveting or screw fixing of the structure.
    ➤ Step ③: Assembly & hot bending
    If the design is an integrated chute, it can be bent by heating and hot bending (such as 90°, 120°, etc.).
    Multi-piece assembly structures are fixed with screws + washers/hot welding.
