HDPE (high-density polyethylene) plastic sheets used for wall panels are widely used in hospitals, warehouses, schools, factories, etc. due to their excellent impact resistance, chemical resistance and easy cleaning. In order for HDPE sheets to play a long-term role in wall panel applications, the following key requirements usually need to be met:
Main performance requirements for HDPE wall panels:

- High impact resistance
Wall surfaces are often in areas where people or objects collide, such as carts, stretchers, tool carts, etc.
The sheet must have sufficient impact toughness (HDPE sheets with a thickness of ≥ 6 mm are recommended). - Scratch and wear resistance
The surface must have good wear resistance to avoid fuzzing or severe scratches on the surface after long-term use.
You can choose a slightly textured surface or a frosted surface to improve wear resistance and scratch resistance. - Strong chemical resistance
Especially when used in hospitals, chemical plants, and food processing plants, it must withstand corrosion from common detergents, alcohol, disinfectants, etc.
HDPE itself has excellent acid and alkali resistance and is suitable for the above environment. - Easy to clean & hygienic
The surface should be flat or slightly textured to avoid dust accumulation or dirt;
It can be directly wiped and cleaned, and can withstand high-frequency cleaning and disinfection. - Environmental protection and safety
Non-toxic, odorless, and in line with environmental protection standards;
It is recommended to use HDPE materials that comply with RoHS, REACH and other certifications;
Flame-retardant HDPE boards (such as UL94 V-0) can be used in areas with fire protection requirements.
Specification recommendations (reference values)
Item Recommended value
Thickness 6–12 mm (general area), ≥15 mm (heavy impact area)
Surface treatment Smooth / frosted / fine texture (selected according to the scene)
Size Conventional 1220 × 2440 mm, or customized cutting
Color White, gray, beige, blue, etc., can be customized
Installation precautions
It can be fixed with screws, glued or installed on aluminum profile keels;
Sealing strips can be added to the joints to prevent dust accumulation;
The wall surface should be smooth to avoid deformation or bulging of the board.
